I experienced my first earthquake and was the one of the first to alert the news (Associated Press, specifically) that Virginia got hit too.  As a result, they mentioned me.  And as I suspected, other news sources picked it up.  So if you google "earthquake busse" you will see the news sources where I was quoted!

And here it is in my blog!

Interesting! I was wondering if you noticed the quake when I heard about it this week. Knew you were close to D. C. , so did think of you. Guess calling the Associated Press, was a sure way of letting the world know what's happening in Virginia. Had to laugh to myself when I read the title on the blog post though, yep, not in Kansas anymore! Most folks don't realize it, but we actually have earthquake fault lines in Kansas too. Hubby and I lived near one that was being studied by geologists. As you found out TIF, earthquakes can happen anywhere. Glad everything is okay!  happy

Glad it was a small one and that everything is OK!

I went through a few of those when I was working out in California years ago. It's a weird feeling, for sure!

oh glad everything turned out ok! SLC is built on a major fault line (Wasatch) and it's just a matter of time.......

What I find weirdest about earthquakes is that you hear them just split seconds before you feel them.

That's the name of the whole blog, not just the post.  But it would have made a good post title too!  I didn't know KC and MO were near earthquake fault lines too!

That's funny,  I don't recall offhand, but I guess I did hear it first...

It is weird for certain!
